no no no.... Outcome doesn't scale linearly with effort, it's logarithmic. Double the effort doesn't mean double benefits, only a constant epsilon more than previous. This is mathematically based on utility theory and not something I pulled out of my a**.

Would it be possible to have a round of editing on theses chapters? Here are a few things I noticed from the writing and language that if improved could significantly impact readability. 1. Subject Verb agreement (mainly the aspect of using correct sentence structure/verb for singular/plural subjects, like is/are) 2. Flow. This is a bit subjective, but I kind of agree with the other comment.

My body quickly felt the gravitational beast's strain as the ship started to move faster and faster towards the black hole. Hearing parts of the ship being ripped apart terrified me as I felt my body being pulled in different directions. Time seemed to accelerate as I felt my body slow down. I couldn't help but scream in pain as it felt my body was being dematerialized, stretched, aged, and put back together again. However, as I watched, I saw the ship become more and more decrepit as time passed. Like it was aging in front of me. Nearby stars exploded in the background, and others formed. My screams of agony might have been heard initially, but I was watching time flow by in front of my very eyes. Like I was watching the universe on fast forward. - DropOfWater3yrCommented
well, if you want to be accurate "time slows down" has a more subtle meaning. When seen from an observer that is far away from the black hole, it will seem that ALL clocks are slowing down as the ship nears the hole, but a person/observer will have an entirely different observation. He will NOT see his clocks slowing down, as to him, all his clocks seem to tick at the "rate" defined by the physics of the clock.
