comment got cut off, but long story short: Non-cultivators like the MC need to give more blood than cultivators to bind/activate items.
From the explanations I've read in other stories; Blood contains trace amounts of Qi and when the item touches it they will register it as a password. The stronger the Qi the easier it is for items to read and register the Qi. Since everyone has Qi, even commoners could activate Cultivator items, they just needed to provide more blood to reach the required Qi amount. The MC currently has no cultivation so far.
Shah or Zah Fey. google translate's text-to-speech prefers the shah, i prefer the zah. but its Fey either way
Generally speaking; Western countries think Futuristic stuff holds more power. Asian countries think power lies in the past. So the older something is, the more 'wise', 'powerful', and 'trustworthy' it is. Obviously it has a touch of propaganda to make people reject change.
Technically Necromancers were originally Necromantic Priests/Shamans. Their job was to commune with the dead to guide the living and perform funeral rites. It later got abused by lazy disciples using 'zombies' to farm until the zombie thing was all it was known for. So it was originally a Priest class that was later shifted to Magician class.
