Drexkin7dCommentedFairly accurate on what I would feel if I found myself in 40k. And depending on where I was in the universe and/or what circumstances I found myself, a very tall building where I will practice my flying skills might be needed.
Unlike most Star Wars fan or Star Trek fans, who would be overjoyed to find themselves in the Star Wars galaxy or the Trek one despite the dangers, you won't find many 40k fans who would even be willing to spend a day in that fictional setting because of how messed up and scary it is. As such, I'd cried, screamed and laughed while crying, all while hiding the covers of my new bed, which was part of a very nice bedroom and if you're going to have a panic attack you might as well have it somewhere nice.- Drexkin18dCommented

It's why I seem to read almost exclusively fanfiction now adays. More love for the characters and settings that you find in the actual media.
This is a point I mentioned in my previous chapter, how Mark created a workshop to foster the talented people and find new blood that would support new age of Hollywood (after 2000s). And then there is the rise of the Mary Sue Female protagonist who have no character development, no struggles, no empathy, there are just stoic badasses who need no man's help. Couldn't agree more. The talent/ability to write seems to have become an after thought. And writers are now hired due to what boxes are ticked.
