Hamilcar5dReplied to Saif_Ali_8357So, a more stable world = more financial benefits to the US (trade and other), so money thing doesnt make sense. As someone who fought over there and had family who did the excuse of American deaths falls on deaf ears. They lived, fought, and died for a purpose and ideal. Which more than I can say for most. Also since 9/11 more people were murdered on the streets of Chicago than US military in Iraq and Afghanistan combined so in cold calculations its not statistically significant. And lastly American dominance and interference just happens to correspond with the most peaceful, wealthy, and free period human history, the world wasn't doing so great before. I believe in America first just not America only.

This book does a good job of pointing out the failures and negatives of a republic/democracy based on individualism. But even at its worse its still better than a nation based on authoritarian collectivism.
Despite the dangerous nature of the Confederacy, and its many random acts of violence, the streets were full of people looking to have a good time. Not that Erich truly blamed them. That has nothing to do with original paragraph you commented on. It says they were outpopulated in the country they founded, which will be true in some European countries. that crime increased when poor refugees with different beliefs and cultures came in. nobody changed the facts or lie they just presented them in a way that you don't like so that makes it a mythos or propaganda to you, which is stupid and wrong.

Yea, spoken like someone who has no idea what they're talking about. It was Saudi citizens without gov support that were enemies, like bin laden. You seem to think we should have let Iran continue to support terror orgs, let Iraq kill its own citizens and invade neighbors, let isis slaughter everyone they see, and let every terror org kill as many jews as they want? Ignorant takes from uneducated people all over the place here.

So it seems the author is mixing between the seven heavenly virtues and the seven capital virtues. The capital virtues are the common ones. I would say that fortitude is probably diligence (opposite of sloth) and justice is maybe patience (opposite of wrath).

This is good explanation of the problems with socialism/communism. People are willing to sacrifice the world in order to save it. And they always fall short and end up swimming in the blood of those they mean to save.

The irony is incredible. In order to prevent religious people from killing people they're going to kill all religious people. Thats some real Hitler-istic style logic.
Even the media is silenced about it. If someone talks about religion, there is only one penalty, and that is...instant death.
