I get your point, but even if your care taker, parents or what not didn't choose your name, they made it so you have one. Be it names or nicknames, we give them to individualise peoples or object so we can like them more. Nobody likes peoples but Nick is probably a nice man.

just some questions. Isn't it unpractical not giving your pokemon a personnal name ? Alex consider is pokemon as family but who doesn't give a name to their childrens ? If you think about it, not naming something you're emotionally attached to, be it alive or not, is unlikly for a normal human.
