Politics are a science. You can't just run a whole bunch of people on goodwill alone, you need a prepared and proven infrastructure. These last chapters were very nicely written, conveys the ideas about the whole societal restructure very clearly.

Ahah people are pretty mad. IMO, while the pushy nature of Gloriana is gratting I kinda like it in the optics of what is to come. This reaction of hers is pretty much spot on her character and i'm interstes to see if having that child and seeing it grow will have an effect on her outlook. There is a lot of potential in this plotline, but don't expect it to get resolved in a short amount of chapters.

Very clever, it reminds me of the way the christian church assimilated the "pagan" world by integrating their old gods in a "they do exist, but below God" approach. See the fall of the viking age for example! In any case good job on the writing!

Super interesting chapter, really conveys the wisdom of someone able to grasp the greater picture. Well done! The old mman hasn't even been introduced for 15 chapters and we already feel a greater emphasis on politics in the novel.

I do miss the festive cloud generator, it added a very cool and original aura to the earlier mechs. Probably one of the reasons Iook back fondly upon the Black Beak having a lot of presence even if it is probably one of Ves' weaker mech.

Like, we could guess that the special project U was for a big new shiny body but... for it to be the first appearance of a working juggernaut in the story... I'm sweating a bit here Ves, you really had to wake up this monster did you!

First willpower/spirituality hybrid mech designer! My jaw dropped! Ketis, don't you think you are going a bit ovwrboard here with the cutting fireworks of light?

I'm very curious on the effect of her willpower on her design philosophy. There might be some drawbacks on her progression past journeyman, as Ves once learned about the incompatibility of spirituality/willpower with Masters and expert pilots. Her case will at least surely be unique.
