A character's death is only meaningful if people are invested in them. But don't worry, it won't happen again... much. =D
Hey! Thanks for the support! Simple answer, yes. Actually, you'll see some inventing/kingdom building/planning fairly soon. Once this major conflict arc is over, you'll also see more of that come back into play.

The true definition of determination! Or stupidity...
Ooooh, yeah. Sorry, he deeead. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get around to creating a resurrection mechanism, but even if I did, I doubt I’ll bring him back because I feel it would cheapen his sacrifice. It’s nice to know that people were attached to him though, means I did my job right and makes his death meaningful; after all, if nobody cared, what would the point be [img=recommend]
I could tease you with my grand plans for how to work out that complex interpersonal relationship... but the honest answer is I don't know yet =P It's too far into the future, so I haven't really thought about it much other past the fact that she'll be back and that she'll eventually meet Lucas.
Mechanics wise, it's pretty good. Some paragraph structure issues and a spelling mistake here and there, but otherwise the writing quality is good. Only complaint is that some of the paragraphs drag a bit. They're too long which makes reading them a bit cumbersome for a webnovel. We're just a few chapters in, so can't say much about update stability; that said, the chapter lengths are a bit inconsistent, especially with the super long first chapter. I understand that the author wanted to tell a complete story in one chapter, but splitting it up a bit might help with retaining a reader's attention . The story is moving along quick, which I can appreciate. It's also fairly easy to understand what's happening thanks to things proceeding basically exactly as you'd expect them to. That's alright for the beginning of a story to help explain what's happening, but adding some more twists, unexpected developments, or problems might help elevate the narrative. Only a few characters have been introduced so far, and while they're all a bit one-dimensional at the moment, that's probably fine given how early on I'm writing this review. More growth will be needed in the future, but I'd say the foundation of who each individual is so far is going well. The world feels harsh and gritty, which was what the author was going for so that's a good thing, but I'd like a bit more detail in this regard. It kinda feels a bit like we're being tossed in and expected to figure things out on our own, which might be the point, but I'm the kind of reader who likes to know everything up-front because I'm impatient. Overall, an excellent start to an interesting novel.
also, all the artwork has been *upgraded*, and there's much more on my discord, feel free to check it out =P
