But what really was interesting for Matthew was the fact that Luna was able to predict the future emotions of a Person with it. And that may be also the explanation why Luna couldn't see the Aura around him. He named that ability Aura Sight. He originally didn't exist in the timeline of the Harry Potter books. If this whole Story was determined by fate or a similar being, then Luna accessed that predefined Fate and was able to see it with her Aura Sight. But Matthew was somehow inserted into the timeline from outside, so maybe he wasn't affected or included in the fate of this timeline yet. I completely agree with top comment. He would definitely have traceable communication during war which would give the ruse straight away. Also, people talk and he would be seen a lot by a lot. There is zero chance prince could bury this murder up. Simply put, either prince, or sadly author in this case, goofed.
