You are right, almost everyone is replaceable, but you need to take into account two things. There is a few people that have rare technical skill and it's hard to replace them. The timing when you leave is very important, even if they replace you sometimes it's just too late, a new person can't instantly do what you did without an adaptation time to understand the projects you work on.
