As far as I understood the only issue she had was the materials wasted. Jiera is overrun with lost cities so instead of worrying about them they should just destroy the cities. For example, 2 guardians send the city into space, one locking it, the other destroying it.

That was actually my concern as well. If guardian can move the lost city into space then why not detonate it there. Even better, detonate it on another planet.
