my bad! "me" is correct, but only because "except" is a preposition. grammar is weird and convoluted and makes no sense. to think i actually studied it in my third year of college. this is why i said this rule is falling out of favor, its so specific and using "me" every time still works just fine

not necessarily. "proper" grammar actually dictates that it should be "except Jet and I" but that rule is falling out of favor because using "me" works just as well and no one uses it in casual conversation anyway.
