Until a certain point in the end it has been an enjoyable read and got ones hopes up for a long and fun journey. The writing quality and style (depends on ones opinion) was quite enjoyable even though it seemed more fast paced or even rushed or merely summarized instead of told like a story towards the later chapters and the 'end'. The ending of the story doesn't seem rushed or mediocre, it IS rushed and unfulfilling though for me it would have barely sufficed as a mediocre end for an arc of the story, but defenetely not as an actual ending. Apart from the obvious open plot-holes like the whereabouts of bettas soul I don't know if it's lost in translation but for me the great enemy wasn't the world the so called guardion of the earth (who ironically had to be a chinese 'entrepreneur' *cough* polution *cough*, *cough* I'd rather have someone quietly vanish than speak even a remotely bad word against my reign *cough*) parasitized to send the players to or the goddess of life, from which he even was able to steal a fragment of divinity but I guess we'll never find out now since Rolands will be basically having to satisfy all those wifes. Which was another point that got strange towards the later part of the story since he began as a mage who never was interested in being a slave to his loins?
What a loaded question. From a Hexer nonetheless. Though personally I hate Gloriana and how delusional she is and how easily replaceable by any other perfectionist she would be, the Hexers as a whole keep me on edge and reading the novel, even if only to witness how they shoot themselves in the foot and have to face reality every step they take out of their little bubble.
The AK in AK-47 stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova so the 'or' here is false.
Mildly disturbing, as always.
I think it's fitting, as the Phoenix (as every Xianxia would tell you) is famous for its fiery rebirth / nirvana theme, while J.K's Thestrals are purely associated with death. The Wampus-Cat part though is specific to this story, MINOR SPOILER: even if (in my opinion) the animal parts play no role anymore later on. Even dear Sol barely comes up :(
Calm down, Satan. But still a very intriguing idea.

It is difficult to find something to dislike about both, the previous story by the author, and this one without sounding like some petty nitpicker. The writing quality is superb even if it sometimes seemed a bit rushed, which can be excused, since the author seemed to have just too many ideas for the content to go into detail for everything. The only thing that I really don't like is how sensei finishes his stories. For both stories (in my opinion and in lack of a better metaphor) it felt as if one is making love to a beauty for hours and then not finishing it for a lack of energy or motivation. While the whole process was awesome and enjoyable the whole time, there was just something lacking to call it a proper ending to me. Personally, for example I would have really liked to have the situation with macusa and the other magical governments solved, though I guess with how much content the author throws at the reader that part of the story could potentially fill a whole new book. All things considered I've enjoyed the story immensely and the few negative points I've mentioned could also be deliberate cliffhangers by the author in preparation for his following works, since a few of the open points of the prequel have also been handled in this story.
