Every chapter some more powerful character comes out and we spend the entire chapter wasting words on nonsense. This novel has fallen to pieces from what it once was.
If he had a tourniquet applied correctly on him, he probably is going to be doing much more screaming and much less talking. Having one applied and having to leave it on is some of the most excruciating pain you will ever have to deal with. Also you don't remove and then reapply it. Once applied you should leave it unless you can control the location of the hemorrhage. You would rather he lose the arm than risk losing his life.
The author writes the disciples in such a way to make them as grating on the nerves as possible. If he isn't wasting words on them, he is wasting words on describing how aloof and serene the mc is at all times. For a novel that is going to probably heavily deal with his disciples, none of them are pretty much likable outside of the first two and that is obviously only because they have barely appeared. The author will ruin them as well.
Not a fan of Yuan'er. She talks way too much and I dislike that her character basically consists of yelling to maim or kill everything. It becomes grating when it's so constant.
I am glad the Nero stuff is over. It was entirely uninteresting to me.
The amount of arrogant characters and how often the mc is offending someone is becoming increasingly unbearable. No author, your awful excuse of pride is just a garbage excuse for you to pad your words and chapter count.
At first I enjoyed this novel. It wasn't great by an means but it wasn't bad either. It was just something to read while munching on various foodstuffs. However, the further you get the more the pace of the story grinds to an excruciating halt. Very little happens between each chapter, and the mc gets looked down on or offends someone in seemingly every other chapter. Organic conflict gets chucked out the window like a game console from a helicopter mom. The mc also becomes increasingly arrogant and the characters aren't great either. The world also doesn't feel alive and the characters are all pretty one note and bland overall. In 185 chapters not much of the world has really been explored or explained at all. Overall, it's an okay read if you can look past all that but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Of course he has to be looked down on. At this point he is being looked down on or offending someone every other chapter.
The mc has always been a bit of a prick. And it was obvious Old Mo was going to die since he was being cartoonishly antagonistic towards the mc. At least now I guess the mc can venture by himself since the whole group is either incapacitated, dead, or terrified.
2 chapters a day with the pacing of this story at this point is pretty bad. It's not really worth it to stay up to date with the story. I am not really a fan of how prevalent face-slapping and arrogant characters are becoming. It basically grinds the story to a halt every other chapter.
