In the later chapters, he sped up his metabolism and healing ability to heal himself from 3rd degree burns. Why can’t he do the same to his bruised pathways?

With his perfect control, he should be able to forcefully mend his pathways. He should also be able to increase his metabolism to help with training and increase chemicals like testorone or give himself an adrenaline shot to decrease his own time perception or fight through pain.
