Thanks for clarifying that. I was surprised at the inconsistencies between former and later chapters. You are right in the fact that MC doesn't mistreat women and doesn't consider them romantic interests. But all the powerful female characters introduced so far are either mesmerized by his looks, power or both and have romantic inclinations towards him. I find that a bit disappointing. Why can't a female character find him powerful and just admire him? Why the need for them to fall in love and follow along like puppets? I also find the lack of male characters(who are not villains or admirers) concerning. Why can't the MC take on a male apprentice? While I am glad you have many powerful female characters(compared to most), we need similarly powerful male characters too... Otherwise even if it is not a harem, it gives the ambience of one. I hope you don't find my review offensive. I just feel strongly on the subject.
I read the first 39 chapters and was disappointed by how the author managed to ruin what could have been quite a promising story. So I decided to skip ahead and read the ending and it is a harem. The annoying female character introduced in the beginning is one of MC's lovers. He has 3 wives? partners? The author has a habit of writing pathetic female characters making me wonder about the kind of person they are... I feel so offended by the portrayal of women. So I am dropping this novel.
I hope this serves as a lesson to him to not use the system products without caution. He can't always escape like this without giving away any information. That being said from a moral point of view he did the right thing in trying to save a life. But sometimes the road to hell is paved with good intentions...
Yeah but usually those kind of girls have equally stuck up bfs too or the protagonist breaks up with them. But here if this follows the pattern of nearly every similar novels, the author is going to show her so called 'cute' side and the mc will think she is not that bad at all. I honestly don't get this. True she may not be the wicked witch of the West like the lab senior girl. But she is pretty bad on her own...
Same. I really don't understand people who say one thing and expect others to do something entirely else. She too had a part in why she fell. She saw him in the path but didn't avoid him. I don't think she was running at such a high speed she couldn't. And then she refused help and then thought why he didn't help her. I have a bad feeling she is going to be popping up again and force him to help her with something because she feels he owes her.Thats the usual plotline.I honestly hope the mc is not an idiot who gives into her just because she is a pretty woman. As a woman myself, I find it off-putting...
