It’s probably to not have people distracted with other decent games while he is in the early stage. Because while he will probably get a percentage it is still a major difference compared to getting the whole pie. since what if someone makes a game that is similar to one of his upcoming games? This will end up taking away from his earnings. Until he has made atleast one game from every genre of games it will probably feel like he is losing more potential points than he would gain.

Probably due to the rate of absorbing. If it was to try and drain a creature of the same rank it would probably only absorb it by a small amount. As the talent increased in rank it would have a higher rate of absorption. Would be my guess at least
