I think it's because of privilege? I don't know how to turn privilege off. But either way, there will be a new chapter everyday. I hope this clarifies your question. (I'm still figuring out the system myself XD)

By injecting mana. It's like giving electricity (mana) to a flashlight (bell). The items turn the mana into effects. Hope this clarifies things for you
