With the release of the technology being governed by headgear access, which is rolling out slower than global birthrates, the existing Healthcare infrastructure would still be needed to serve 99% of the population for a very long time. Unless Liam made a severe push to increase release, or make a clinically located control headset for approved medical organizations to manage nanite patients without thier own headgear, it's feasible that the world would never see full rollout of nanite med tech. I realize he has plans for this, but most companies would eventually conclude their market share still being viable by sheer breadth of population. Only the media platform itself is a market destabilized, since it has no availability limits. side question: did we see Liam using a headset while sleeping once? Can that community not also use 8 of the 12 hours of uptime to be productive during sleep/rest cycles? Giving any group an extra 8 hours a day is a game changer to itself.

This chapter inspired a lot of thought: How would the nanites effect unreported missing organs we take for granted, like tonsils and appendix? How would it "treat" a congenital missing limb or conjoined twins? What about those odd cases where a twin was absorbed by the other in the womb, but exists as a cluster of non harmful cells in the body, a remnant of a separate being, but not. Would it treat gaal stones? What about piercings or implants? What if someone had cosmetic surgery? Does their nose or face revert back to DNA mapped original? Can the premium package of nanites elect for cosmetic changes... making face lifts possibly look natural in old age?
