I feel like wang yang's name was swap to Jessica......

But today's company was different. Jessica was filled with confidence and hope, with unyielding determination, because this company was "Artisan Entertainment," which in the future would distribute "The Blair Witch Project," a DV film that achieved shocking success. If anyone had the courage to take a chance on DV films, it was them.

Rachel nodded silently, studying his face, before slowly saying, "This has never been done before. Everything you're doing is innovative. I know it must be very difficult, and maybe no one will appreciate you, and maybe people will even laugh at you. But..." She took a deep breath, let it out, and encouraged him, "Yang, you must keep your confidence! You can't give up on your drive, your passion, that's what's most precious, understand?"

Zachary took a sip of his soda, scratched his head, and said somewhat shyly, "I wanted to be a race car driver, a dancer, I even wanted to be a police officer, doctor, pilot... But, as you all know, in reality, you can only choose one of these professions; it's impossible to become all of them. Then." He tilted his head as if struck by a marvelous revelation, "When I found out about acting, being an actor meant you could experience all these professions, right? You could even be 007! Just like that, I fell in love with the profession of acting."

wooow....looks interesting...same with me during my childhood and highschool days...directing school play you created and watching the play being appreciated by the audience...feels awesome...

Wang Yang furrowed his brows in confusion and said, "If I say the reason is 'because I like it,' will you guys hit me?" Zachary and Rachel both rolled their eyes and said "Please," and Wang Yang just shrugged and replied, "OK, OK. Well, I've always liked movies since I was young. When I listened to stories or read Grimm's Fairy Tales, my mind would fill with many images, even from a simple idea, I couldn't help but turn it into scenes. Then I thought, if I could film those, like in the movies, that would be so cool."

"Die!" Wang Yang cursed and bent down to throw a punch straight at Terrence's midsection, so fast that Terrence couldn't react in time, and before he knew it, Wang Yang's fist had smashed brutally into his stomach! The punch was so powerful that Wang Yang's fist almost sunk into it.

Mark Strong smiled contentedly, then turned to Rachel and tapped another contract on the table, saying, "Rachel, I think you still need a short-term agent. Take a look at this contract." He mysteriously pulled out another set of credentials from his briefcase and handed them to Rachel, chuckling, "Actually, I have another identity, oh, not CIA, just a licensed agent of CAA. With me, and CAA watching over you, young directors won't be able to play any tricks."

does mobile phone in 1998 exist?

Just then, a cell phone ringtone suddenly went off. Jessica said "Excuse me," and took out her mobile phone from her exquisite purse to answer, "Mom? Oh, I know, I'll come home for dinner. Yeah, I was planning to go home after watching 'Titanic', but guess what happened! I ran into a classmate from San Francisco at the cinema! Oh, he's different, he's a very good friend of mine."

feels extremely good when your encouraging word in the past help someone to turn the tide and becomes successful in the present....

Indeed, a lie often needs more lies to maintain it. Wang Yang shrugged his shoulders and reluctantly said, "It's the truth, I just recognized you. I always knew that the ugly duckling would one day become a swan." He repeated the encouraging words he had said in the past.

    nice mc background....lol

No child wanted to sit with her, and her classmates would either bully her or avoid her. Back then, Wang Yang didn't have many friends in the class either, but the white kids didn't dare to bully him—anyone who tried would get badly beaten—so the teacher paired Jessica with him, asking him to look after her.

that new to me....good to know

For example, when names obviously belonging to Asians or Black people are put up against white names in job applications, even if the resume content is completely identical except for the names, or even if the white resume is slightly worse, the company would invariably keep the white resume. Thus, many Black families, for the sake of their children's futures, do not give them typical Black names, opting instead for mainstream American white names. It's a helpless situation, but it's the truth.

how about joining some upstart company that will be a big shot in the entertainment industry in the future....

Even if his script as a newcomer caught their attention, it would have to wait its turn, potentially dragging on for three to five years. Three to five years? Forget it, he would have been dragged back to San Francisco by his parents by then!

or how about playing some of the greatest ending songs of one of the movie and play it live on a national tv station...

OK… So he couldn't become a director, then what about writing a surefire hit screenplay to see if he could catch the eye of any company? Wang Yang immediately shook his head in self-mockery and dismissed the idea.

saying same words by different person produce a different feeling.....

Well, regardless, this gift is really awesome, exactly to his taste! He watched over a decade's worth of classic movies in one go. Oh yeah, just thinking about it was exciting, totally exhilarating! Wang Yang threw a combo of excited punches, his previous little worries quickly forgotten.

i feel like it doesn't guarantee a big hit movie of 2020's will be a big hit in 90's....there are alot of factors like the exact actors play it's roles or the advertising or marketing team that handles the promotion or the influence of the original producers into the current industry or the budget of creating the film....

thanks for making me remember in my elementary days when my grandpa made a promise to me to watch together in theater an amazing movie..I was expecting to watch a super hero movie which a 90's kid like me would feel awesome to watch and brag about with my friends...end up bored and feel cheated when the movie turns out to be a someone riding a ship....but ones my age turns into 20's those memories turn into happiness and in 30's turned into being blessed....watching again those movie let me discover alot of crucial important details about each characters feelings during those times....

Los Angeles certainly didn't lack movie theaters, and being near the city center of the University of Southern California, Wang Yang didn't have to walk far. He was somewhat familiar with the area and soon arrived at a medium-sized movie theater. The wall of the ticket office was covered with posters of films that were showing; the romantic poster of "Titanic" with Jack and Rose standing at the bow in a flying pose was still prominently displayed. The movie was still showing, and it was already its 17th week. Despite having grossed over 500 million in North American box office, its momentum remained strong! Who knew what kind of record it would ultimately set?

next problem....searching for sponsors and trusted production company

I can't believe it, I just can't believe it! Is this real?! Wang Yang's mouth dropped open in astonishment, completely at a loss for what to do. Was he having a mental breakdown, thinking the images he had imagined were classic; or... was all of this real?

    1998.....or 1988....got confused?

Hell! Isn't that Leonardo DiCaprio, the lead actor from Titanic?! Why does he look so haggard now, all fat and old? Oh my god, what movie is this! Unbelievable... Inception? A movie released in 2010?! Please, it's 1998 now!
