They're also pretty brutal against those that don't rebel. The silver lining in all this, to the government, would probably be the lower number of minority groups (they're very racist)

This is probably much harder on children in China than most of the world, because of the 1 child policy children in China had become the center of the household and typically spoiled as a result. There's some very interesting documentaries on the subject

While it was true that the Full Coat's +5 to all stats was amazing, for the current Bai Zemin it was no big deal to lose 5 points in each of his stats. He preferred to pass this treasure to someone like Fu Xuefeng or Zhong De, both of whom could get more out of it. - Kellywt1yrCommented

The Chinese government runs on murder. Every time there's a scandal (which is very often) a low ranking politician is blamed, imprisoned and commits suicide. Also the decades of systematic genocide but ya know
There were even cases in which he knew about politicians, policemen, or military officers who, as long as it did not cross a certain threshold, were willing to carry out certain assignments or orders that went against the established rules.
