So, you basically didn't read it. The story is meant to go for 10k chapter's, you basically left halfway through the prologue. It might not be for you, but it's definitely not bad. One of the best written stories you'll find here.
Ah, the Space-Washington Spatio-naval treaty. I can see that going well

Name: Dauntless Leopard Class/Role: Medium Brawler Offense: 3 Defense: 3 Mobility: 3 Utility: 1 Design Spirits: Zeigra & Bravo How does a REAL MAN fight? MANO A MANO! The Dauntless Leopard is the mech tailor made for Vincent's cohort, made of some of his admirers from the legions and even some pilots that used to prefer the arena. Armed with claws, a reliable armour composite, an agile flight system and two powerful sets of boosters (one to engage and one to disengage), this mech in the embodiment of manlyness. With a subtle chiseling of the muscle contours and a feline mask, it draws back to the revered warriors of an ancient civilization, with it's name making reference to a feline known for being an efficient hunter of primates. To Vincent's dismay, it has a decorative loincloth in place of a codpiece. Zeigra contributes the highest prowess in the clan on clawed combat (Lucky disagrees, but found the proposal to become a design spirit unappealing), instincts for such a close combat, and a healthy dose of knowing when to go back to his lair to lick his wounds. Bravo adds to that the honor of an inspiring warrior and the craving for a challenge needed to rush in to the thick of battle armed with nothing but their almost bare hands. The making of the cockpit and ejection system was a very careful decision, as the attrition for this model is expected to be very high, and as idiotic as Ves considers anyone who considers Vincent a role model, loyal human resources are scarce in the Red Ocean and are not to be wasted.
Name: Warden of Kin Class/Role: Heavy Combat Resupply and Recovery Mech Offense: 1 Defense: 3 Mobility: 2 Utility: 4 Design Spirits: Titania/Superior Mother + Quilanxo/Lufa* The Warden of Kin embodies the most motherly aspects of the Superior Mother and Titania in more senses than one. Shaped in its base form like a Whale Shark with hemispherical holes scooped from its body, and in it's fully equipped form like a humongous fish-shaped raspberry, the warden directs it's "children" to protect and care for it's allies. The children that occupy the holes are actually satellite drones controlled by the pilot, but with programmable AI to take charge and return home if there is a loss of connection. They come in two varieties: - A resupply drone with capacity for fuel cells and ammo and able to siphon some heat from the resupplied mech. - A pilot recovery drone, with much lower capacity and higher defenses, including a small directional energy shield empowered by a third protective mother in Quilanxo. These are capable of storing a drifting ejected cockpit or slowly cutting trough a mech to recue a trapped pilot. The drone also has limited emergency life preserving measures to care for injured pilots and the healing presence of Lufa to quickly mitigate possible traumas. A spirituality-based "handshake" derived from Ves' efforts with the MTA's task ensure they cannot be hijacked by enemy forces. When docked to the main body, the drones can assume one of two behaviours: "head out" to expose the strongest armour when under fire, and "legs out" with the boosters aiming outside to improve the maneouverability of the Mech. The Warden posesses a very effective armour system and high redundancy, but an anemic offense, as it's only weapon is a short range energy shotgun on it's mouth. The shotgun can also fire a long-winded charge single energy slug that is more a deterrent for longer ranged pursuers than an actual offensive. The main body of the WoK is of a disproportionate low mass for it's size, which combined with a flexible tail holding the flight system at it's tip give it the speed of a standard-to-slow mech of a lower size and the ability to aim it's mouth shotgun in a direction that is not necessarily the direction of it's movement.

What if, WHAT IF, Ves used the LIBT to study spiritually-infused biomatter, and made an implant that enabled him to channel the expertise of a design spirit in a more focused form than using them as a mask give or to make it available to other people? Channel a spirit, get their expert help in understanding the principles of what you're studying.
But exactly the same use you gave them

Just yesterday I decided to watch a video about the demon core... I have a really bad feeling about this.
