ofcourse, like i said , it matches the attitude of the mc that time, cold blooded and selfish to the extreme . but now, as you changed his charector a bit and gave him empathy and kindness, if he names the next subordinate as an item, that won't match his charector anymore , will it? may be you can consider changing the old subordinate's name to something meaningful after they gained his trust. it could even be used as a hierarchial system in his organisation. basic members will be named items, higher members will have less objective names,etc. Jus and openion. think about it
