Awful way to hold a knife, only allows downward trust(think psyco stab). Proper way to hold a knife is to have the blade pointed in the same way as thumb when hand is open. ( hold a knife same as a sword)

She/Her is a female pronoun. He/Him is a male pronoun . The fact that you use them all interchangeable makes it bery hard to figure out who does what action.

The way i see it, in this story, it appears that the wizards control a large part of Northern Europe, from the british isles to north france( if not all of France ) then east across north Germany and into poland, circling around the carpathines into bulgaria. A lot of land, and for any society to control this much land they mich be powerful, althought they could be ‘Backwards’ or ultra conservative/ an aristocartic society.
