Yes, the world is unforgiving, but that doesn't mean the MC needs to be ungrateful and manipulative. Nie Li helped him wholeheartedly without asking for anything in return, and the MC basically stole from him. I know the MC will probably give something back to Nie Li, but it still seems a bit ungrateful and unfair.
