I enjoyed reading the story so far, a crossover between Fate and One Piece is a really cool idea. Which is why I find the decision to have Tom go with the Straw Hats disappointing, you're letting go (temporarily) of the 'novel' side of this ff i.e. having characters from Fate in One Piece and what that entails (character interactions in this new world they're in, wildly different adventures, Fate characters' development with the MC, etc.. ). By having Tom go with the Straw Hats, even though you've said it won't be a canon repeat, it still feels 'same old same old' because it's now become less of a crossover and more of an 'OC adventuring with Luffy and Co.' fanfic, and those are a dime a dozen on this site. I do hope you'll consider having Tom bring a servant with him during this arc (doesn't have to be Caenis although I do hope it's her) to make this ff stand out from the others. I am cheering for you author even if I disagree with this change in story, and I hope to enjoy the upcoming chapters!
