Ding Ding Ding! Correct, sir! That is my plan. Both Kentaro and Ryuko have soft spots for children which will lead to them ending up together. The specifics of how they do are still unclear to me but they will.
Kentaro's debut was him saving a little girl from being bulldozed by a villain with a Bull quirk by grabbing the villain by the horns and flipping him over. Kentaro thought the little girl would be scared of him so he just quickly made sure she was okay, but it turned out she had admired him ever since she saw him compete in the Sports Festival and asked for his autograph. Yes, thanks to his meta-knowledge, as well as some other things, he will end up surpassing Percy though their strengths will lie in different aspects since MC's powers are much more destructive while Percy has more room for finesse with his Hydrokinesis. That's not to say MC will not have finesse with his powers just not as much as Percy. As for the strength of the Gods/Demigods themselves, I think they're a lot stronger than you give them credit for. But I do understand your point since I feel like Rick Riordan wrote the story in a way that made them seem weaker than they were, at least to my memory. I'll have to finish re-reading the books before deciding but as of right now, they'll stay the same strength wise.
First, I do want to confirm, as can be seen by the title, he is the son of Poseidon. But unlike Percy, he will inherit Poseidon's earthshaking abilities. He will have limited Hydrokinesis, he is still the son of Poseidon after all, and all the other blessings/abilities that Percy has like Water Empowerment, Water Immunity, Breathing Underwater, Watercraft Manipulation, some control over Storms, and Zoolingualism with marine animals, equines, and similar creatures. Well, Percy is the beloved child of the world which already puts his potential head and shoulders above the rest but he's not one for power or godhood since he just wants to protect his loved ones. MC is an anomaly so his potential is also a lot better than others, but as for his ambitions, who knows? Short answer, idk. (*/ω＼*)

Percy? Yes, but the water empowerment, water immunity, and breathing underwater is all part of his Hydrokinesis, but since MC doesn't have the same level of Hydrokinesis that Percy does, I listed them separately. As for everything else, Percy slowly discovers it as he gets older. Like the small control overs storms he doesn't know about it until he's much older, if I remember correctly.
