to put it quite simply. He a bit tarded for thinking Diablo verse was just gonna be a minor thing in his. Or he didn't know but still stupidly left a obviously evil or malicious verse sit open even if it's only a crack...

it would be him in the world without being directly in the plot, sure it's more noticeable when he's interacting with the main cast but it's cool him doin his own thing
