The only rely on himself he did was barely the building of Taoyun or whatever it's called. Its them using Bankai not Shikai.. The Shikai state is the same as soul reapers, using a release phrase and all that.

The writing is great. that I can say. Characters and depictions of them not so much. The Naruto comes off less as a version of himself from the series and more of a pull from other fanfictions. The potrayl of DC characters are just hit and miss at most times. The skill of AU Naruto and strength just does not fit against other DC characters.

Still, even now while I've been at it for two and a half months, it still takes a bit of time to enter the form and my control in it while decent, still isn't the best. But, I can at least reliably enter it right now without well pulling a Goku and shaking the entire planet, as long as I'm careful. And my temper is a hair trigger in that form also.
