I get you, as I read It because of the "trilogy" as well, and got through all chapters just by keeping in mind that It was a first job from the author and that maybe he didn't have and editor back then. And must importantly because of MVS, that went from being boring and shallow, to becoming a pretty good novel in the later part of it, from the characters to the history itself. The only downside in my opinion is the "kindness/innocence" of the MC's in JKSmanga novels.

Finally finished this novel by pure will, and because I didnt want to leave It halfway. Just started it because MVS hinted that they were conected... but It wasn't worth the time at all. I'm glad the author learned from this first novel to create MVS (that started the same but got better little by little). The characters don't give you anything neither simpathy or any type of connection even the "friends" or the "betrayers", they could have died at any moment and you wouln't feel a thing some of them you would even feel happy about their deaths. And the MC... can be salvable IF AND ONLY IF from the beggining you consider him a BABY BEAST (an animal turned into a human) and nothing else because of how retarded he is. Any kind of cliche of a Dragon having wisdom and inteligence, throw It out the window, and the with that mentality It becomes easier to read his thoughts and his every day life. The story in general only felt bad bacause It tried to encompass too much in small time frame (Steampunk, Martial arts, magic, system, dwarfs, werewolfs, wuxia stuff, monster catching, rencarnation, etc...).
