Why is the protagonist so weak? He cultivated a top level technique, he is an intermediate foundation establishment cultivator of qi and body, has multiple entries, has a technique equivalent to mystic tier, and that technique is a perfect counter, but the best he can do is match someone one minor realm higher who is perfectly countered by him. He has to be the weakest Xianxia protagonist in history.
Why is his talent mediocre the only metric mentioned is to have a powerful body and he should have a pretty strong one due to mastering the basic skills. Also, even if he isn’t a genius swordsman, he has mastered the basic sword skill so you would think he has a good foundation. These authors always make their protagonists trash or Mediocre for some reason.
You can tell immediately by the title being lowercase that this is gonna have some terrible translation. Who in their right mind would want to pay for something like that? Just ruining good novels they could be making money off of, I mean this one had a 4.7 star rating.
What doesn’t make sense is that he knows what the illusion breaking divine eyes are. They weren’t originally recorded by the system and where only gained after visiting the statue of Zhuge Liang.
This is getting repetitive, I’m not even a fan of misunderstanding normally, but they are really dragging this out, every chapter it is the same thing. I’m just hoping a development similar to before I died I forcibly kissed the heroine will take place.
“You and whoever's reading, watching, and consuming this,” felt too fourth wall breaking and immediately broke my immersion in the story. Man needs a reality check real quick, because if he keeps treating everything as fiction and people as fake caricatures, he’s gonna become bland, repetitive, and unreadable, mainly because we already know he is in a fanfic and don’t need the constant reminders, it just breaks the immersion and makes him less relatable as a character since that seems to be his most defining trait.
It’s a turn off for me that you made him so obsessed over the fiction and fanfiction aspects. It felt way too fourth wall breaking, messing with the immersion of the story. There is also a legitimate reason why everyone in Gotham is dark, there is an evil warlock entombed in Gotham, his evil influence having spread out into the city and contaminated the minds of it’s residents, brining out the worst in them. It also feels quite illogical for him to have those feelings as to him everything should feel extremely real even if there is a sense of disconnect, having an existential crisis implies this is not so. In the newer adaptations, like in young justice, they have done a much better job of bringing out the human aspects of the characters as well.
