For example; A fire manipulation skill can be something people consider extremely strong or extremely weak. Normally people use fire just to burn stuff and making things hotter, but what are the limits of those things, can fire burn space? can fire burn time? can fire burn a dimensional barrier? Its also used to help the viewer to understand whats happening and explain how it works, especially if there are no visual effects. Now logically thats absolute bs like in naruto where they are literal ninjas who should be silent and all that but it helps us viewer understand

Yes that's true, but you have to see it from the perspective of a writer or an animator, they can't just describe the fight without the name of the technique. In real life, nobody would shout out the name of their ability, but in anime\manga\Ln, it's kinda nessessary
