How strange. I thought I had lost most of my feelings back in Lordran. But being next to her gave me a strange feeling of peace and calm. I had only felt this with Quelaan before. How strange. I forgot I was even capable of these.

The air on this side of the mirror was electric. We watched and cheered as I triumphed again and again over terrible Beasts, the many other outcomes unseen and conveniently ignored for the sake of montage and progress. It was better this way. My audience certainly needed the pick-me-up after the first half of the story. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves now… until we got to Rom the Vacuous Spider and Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos…

The game is Warframe, a free MMO. The character in the gif is Wisp, though they take a while to unlock.
I point my left hand toward the open air "Might as well test what we just got" I say and decide to try a basic firebolt... only for a literal laser beam of gold and crimson to explode out of my hand for exactly the same effort.

As we stepped through the gates of the Solitude common district the the loud hubbub of the ducks slammed into us like a wall of noise and smell, except if the place could usually be compared to a complete mess that somehow ended up working, today it could quite easily be described as complete and utter chaos.

I had no doubt Harkon, or someone within his court, already knew something was coming up and they were preparing a nice welcoming party for all of us... That didn't mean I was going to be playing fair. Oh no, I would do everything in my power to make his defeat as humiliating and one sided as possible. I was so eager for it in fact, that I'd already written a bunch of messages to be sent to my own allies and even a missive meant for the relative of a certain Altmer guest I was keeping under my hospitality.
