I would say that Ichigo was a diligent student but not exactly a theoretical genius. When it came to anything battle related though, he is a prodigy. He learned stuff on the fly, mostly because of plot, bit still. That's what I meant.

Better or worse?

I don't know. I watched the first three episodes of the first season when Born came out and I really didn't like the MC. I don't know why, there are worst out there, but I don't like Issei at all.

I'm afraid I can't do much about that. English is not my first, nor my second language. Translating my thoughts into English usually takes me a lot of time. Especially some words that I have to search, including their meaning and their usage in a sentence. All of that wastes a lot of time. I am getting better, but it will take some time.

I'm going on the premise that Ichigo always saw Yoruichi as a mentor, with no chance of physical relationship, so he took her teasings as just that. Here he isn't quite sure and that is making him so flustered.

You can think of Naberius as a spoiled young master from a Chinese novel. He bullied a lot of people and used his status as a noble to ruin a few lives but never did anything to be tortured for eternity. As stated, he hadn't even killed an animal and he didn't know what the minions were doing.
