It's depend on author, the world they are creating and what kind of tone they want to have in their story. You could say soul power is destructive while magic is versatile. Or soul power upgraded version of magic. It's all depend how author thinks of it and who he or she wants to use it.

I had to say maybe Author would see this. About sins. Mc is not greedy about magic. Greed is different. Mc is prideful and mostly Lustful toward magic. His time spend on magic, gaining more power, improving what he knows. All of these action can't be corrolate with greed. Greed and Envy kinda similar in MC cituation. If he was weak at magic it could be saying that he want to own all magic items to improve himself. But he is not. He is clearly OP for people around his age. There is no reason to be a greedy.

I feel like Author is trying to ditch Dalphne Greengrass. At first he said he didn't think about romance, randomly he get a girlfriend. Now Author doesn't like her as she doesn't bring anything to main story like Harry's sister so he doesn't focus on Dalphne.

Energy in wow mostly about 100 with fast energy regen. Most of the spells has % while rogue abilities are stay same, 35 energy 5 energy etc. So having more means incredible unballance in game.
