Well if you base the quality of a book just on the presence of those above mentioned, then it would be just a linear way of reading. You'll just find and read books/novels that have those things but is a different versions of the previous books you have read. Why not try reading books that doesn't have those things. If you always stick with things that makes you comfortable, then that's upto you then. I too like those things, but it would gradualy cloud your mind, and will compel you to judge other genres or books before even trying them. I experienced that, until I started exploring.
