Genuinely my face when I read that sentence.

The tense is all over the place. One paragraph has one characters inner thoughts, then we change to another character and then another. It seems like rambling a lot of the time and really needs to be edited.

Eating before bed is a terrible idea, as it ruins your sleep quality. The benefits from a good nights sleep outweigh anything 'healthy' that would disrupt it.
