Isn’t Tyris the Guardian of Law and Order? I would think keeping her word would be important to her. Regarding the hybrid abomination, the chance of Tyris working together with it is low but not zero since she has tolerated Lith thus far. Still you are right it is unlikely to be her. It just bugs me that the Kingdom’s Guardian would give her word to a promising subject, Phloria, and then not take action when a sizable block of her royal court is making overt and subtle attacks against Phloria.

I am hoping the common friend is Tyris. In chapter 749 Tyris stated Phloria’s failure at Kulah would go in her file but promised the failure would not affect her career. Obviously it did so I am hoping this is Tyris’ way of making it up to Phloria. Otherwise it seems like a plot hole to me that Tyris would do nothing to support Phloria after giving her word.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for these political chapters. I really enjoy the character interactions and potential consequences.
