Big oof, i thought she was doing pretty good and then she went chaotic good. thats the worst type. those are the type of people to become terrorists, like ANTIFA or PETA members (no seriously, PETA is f*ck*d up). i feel like she may move down the waifu list soon ;_;
Morality is hardly ever black and white, it's almost always gray. Killing someone can be morally reprehensible in one country but be something to be praised in another country (maybe not every time but on occasion), like an honor killing for example. Same with things like cannibalism, p*d*ph*l&a, mutilation, etc. Morality is often shaped by the culture and society a person grew up in, plus a persons personality and experiences, meaning it can changes as they grow older. this further cements it as gray in my opinion. as for good and evil, its essentially the same thing as morality. they are just social constructs. for example, in the Middle East, they have no problem swarming and killing someone over disrespecting the quran (even without proof), they don't see that as evil at all, but pretty much the rest of the world thinks it is and thinks its pretty insane. a starving person probably thinks a person with 2 apples is evil for not sharing. Good and evil are just a matter of perspective.
i mean, its more than just appreciating her beauty. he does whatever she wants, tries to fulfil any wish she has, makes sure she is completely taken care of, etc. dude treats her like queen for honestly no reason besides the system saying "help her".
Ater is absolutely right, the longer he continues to hide it, the more it compounds and the bigger the blow up when it does finally come out, especially with Alicia. He needs to come clean. If he does it well enough, it might not be so bad (minus the killing people but he doesn't have to tell them that). He had his reasons for hiding in the beginning (the way he was treated, betrayal by billy, skepticism with the royal court, his skill rank, etc), then he got his class and didn't want to lose it by exposing himself and he also wanted to advance it, so on and so forth. he has legitimate reasons for why he did it, if he goes about it right it shouldn't be that bad.
to add to that, basically what i mean to say is, we don't need a play by play of every little thing. time skips are a good thing as long as they aren't overused. too much detail can be a bad thing just like too little detail can be a bad thing. just my opinion of course.
i gotta say, the story is dragging way too much lately. the last like 50 chapters or so have just been POV switch after POV switch after POV switch, jumping back and forth between characters, dates, places, times, etc. its drastically affecting my enjoyment of this novel. i was really enjoying it up until this Dark Gathering and Dungeon Raid started, then it really stared to nose dive. you said we were getting to the climax of this arc how many chapters ago? like 20 or something? it shouldn't take that long from when you said it. if this is how the novel is gonna be from now on, im probably just gonna drop it soon, which sucks because i actually really enjoyed it, which is rare these days. i think you need to find a balance between character development and story progression because you seem to just get lost in excessive chapters on side characters that don't need to exist, could be cut down, or just done at a later time. i was originally hyped for the Dark Gathering but now its been so long that my hype is gone and now i really just don't even care anymore. thats not a good way to write a story.
if he's just gonna be shunned and a few other things (i forgot what the were), then it might as well be resolved this way. if he isn't gonna be punished more than just being shunned then what is the point really? might as well just let it go. i wouldn't agree with it if anything truly terrible had happened to Alicia but it didn't. i mean she got kidnapped but it could have been a lot worse, like A LOT WORSE, she got off extremely easy as far as kidnappings go if you've ever watched any True Crime Docs.
thats a good point i didn't really think about. honestly, at this point, the best match for him might be the grand mage (forgot her name lucielle??) or Vida lol. they at least are good but willing to get their hands dirty for the greater good (don't know about Vida tbh but she seems a little off). Alicia is hardcore good and i don't see her changing to see things the way rey does and thats a major issue between them being together. he can't keep hiding his other half forever and when she finds out he killed people she'll definitely stop talking to him, based on her personality shown so far.
interesting haha. though Alicia would 100% leave him if he did that. i don't know how Trisha would take it but i imagine she wouldnt like being cheated on. though i do think settling for just one person when your essentially a god is pretty weird, especially when youre only 16. like, live a little dude.
Dudes proud of his brother man, it's nice to see
i take back what i said, Ater is pretty cool so far. as long as its not a cat, im cool with it. don't get me wrong, i actually prefer cats myself (over dogs for example) but i don't want a cat as a familiar, especially if it just feels like its catering to the female lead that the author CLEARLY likes the most.
