Logical oversight, ignoring all the other random ones, is that only one hemisphere of the earth would face it. So long as you predict the timing of impact you can put all the arks on the other side of the earth, they would have no meteor impacts. That said the fallout stuff would be enough to mess things up anyway.

Readers need to bear in mind the Chinese definition of Sword/Saber. Saber is more like a single edged longer sword, not a western cavalry one. Sword is just shorter and double edged, but not like longswords or greatswords of the West. They don't directly compare.
