#1 holy shit my grammar was horrible in that comment. #2 The only time people during the 1600's (and the VAST majority of human history) would EVER drink fresh water is EITHER if you had access to it VIA local pond/stream/river/etc. OR if your rich af. Speaking of which. During this time period, Ice is also a rich commodity, only really used by the rich. It was only the invention of the freezer in *quick google search* 1854, which made ice a common house hold item.
