for a multiversal world hopper the danmachi falna system is way too limited/constricting. only three spells slots, need to do something arbitrarily difficult/impressive to gain power, need a divine to update. It may be the only option for the people of that world but for the mc, honestly, there are far better options to gain power. Assuming you don't want him to hop to DBZ for wishes/training/time chamber montage then come back with the power that makes the falna look like a joke then you could make it so that the piece of divinity in the falna ties him to the world his God or goddess is currently in and drags him back (maybe add an arbitrary countdown so he has a little time in other places). Another option is to say the falna puts the dimensional hops on cooldown or something.
So I have been struggling with making him face threats that can 'push' him past his limits to gain high-quality Excelia for his Falna to level up faster. - Xisaro3mthCommented

... not sure if you don't know that surnames come first in Japanese or if you don't know that it is considered rude in that culture to use a given name over a surname unless you are pretty familiar/informal with that person. Also, names get reversed/westernized a lot in dubs and translations which really confuses the issue of which is a given name and which is the surname. anyway, he is always called Aizen by everyone because it is the formal way to address him using his surname.

so, I made that response after i got further into the story and she was declared heir but you are right, she hasn't been yet. But at this point the possibility she becomes heir is still motivation, all that needs to happen is for the King's brother to die and she becomes the only option.
So my options going forward are narrowed down to two paths, The first is not telling them and using Rhaenyra's assistance to try and get involved. The second is just coming out with it to the both of them and showing them I can heal. If I was in their shoes and saw someone with magical powers to heal I think I would want them involved in a situation where someone is likely to bleed to death. The only problem with that is even with Targaryens being more accepting of magic compared to the rest of the world with their own magic in their blood it will still be a hard sell. With me engaged to their daughter and one day being their 'good son' as far as they know I should have no reason to hurt any of them, there is nothing to gain. - Xisaro5mthCommented
