The concept is interesting so far. The people that come to ask his funeral service turn out to be major people in the end. In some cases, the dead people are related to each other in some way or other too. The characters are not abandoned and the story moves on with the characters that have been already introduced. Some of these stories are well-written. I don't know how the author plans to stretch this concept more, but I am looking forward to it(If it gets selected that is😑, so far only the weird sign in novels are getting selected)
The best ones out of the trial read novels so far. The synopsis doesn't explain much. The story is about revival of ghosts. Ghosts can't be killed. And only specialised people can fight ghosts as they are half-ghost themselves. The MC has become one such people and inherited the characteristics of having little to no lifespan left and obtained power in exchange for that. Has the My house of horrors vibe. Good story and the MC is not overpowered and can still be affected by the ghosts if he doesn't use his powers that too has a timer.
The translation is a bit iffy, words change every few chapters. But, the whole novel is centred around comedy. The system and the levelling up is not the focus of this novel, if you were looking for some system focused novel, then this is not for you. The hilarious scenarios and the weird aspect is what got me hooked. If you just ignore the system words that change every now and then, it's a good comedy novel.
When you first start reading it , the story looks as if it will go the same route as the cliche sign in novels. But surprisingly, it doesn't. MC doesn't get OP at the start of the novel and there is no time skip of him doing the same thing everyday for 10 or 100 years. MC has the cheat of getting reward for doing his job i.e. Appraisal of treasures at a pawnshop. But to not make this too overpowered, the author has put the restriction of baleful aura, if the MC tries to appraise a treasure that is out of his league or has a powerful ghost attached to it, he'll die. In other sign-in or job-reward novels, the MC try to act super low-key and are trash in other people's eyes and hide themselves before doing anything with their power. But here the MC shows his power just enough to be labelled as a genius and get access to appraise more treasures. Smart move if I say so. The world-building is great too, even though the MC doesn't go outside that often, his cheat allows him to see the history of the treasure that comes to the shop to be appraised and he is somehow involved in it. If one notices carefully, the origin of his power being suspicious can also be seen, hints such as him thinking of the pill even though he can't afford it and wondering why is he doing that, when he says he doesn't understand alchemy, a reward is given so that he gets the basics, this isn't plot armor as we read it carefully. He doesn't passively get beaten up or let someone take his life. Active and not overly dependant on his cheat. A really good novel so far.
You are getting on my nerves now. 😐
😑This is not an arguement if the age gap is to big and one of the person is not accepting another side's point of view, it can and will not be an arguement.
No it isn't that is why it's not possible that Blacksmiths are so weak around here. Even if you don't have a technique, just being a person who is forging tons of steel everyday, will make one strong.
Do you want to end this on a good note now? I understand everyone has their own problems and novels are a cooling spot. We can come to a consensus which is acceptable on both sides, so as to maintain the friendly environment around here.
I never said that he should expose his techniques. Physical body prowess. That is what I am saying.
Blacksmiths can't be weak. If you are weak you can't lift the forging hammer. He would have been either kicked out or be reduced to a mere assistant/ servant / cleaner if that were the case.
