The dungeons/hunter genre only really became popular (atleast as far as the translated webnovel community, dunno about in Korea itself) in 2015 and 2016 when Solo Leveling and Seoul Station Necromancer both came out. They VERY MUCH popularized the genre, if not created it. While it was not the first the have a system, or even stats by a long shot (SAO light novel came out in 2002 for reference), the mixing of the stats/system, along with the new genre it was pioneering, it is absolutely one that helped the popularity of both. It may not have CREATED either genre by itself, but it definitely popularized it. Pretending otherwise would be crazy

Can I ask when/if the foreign soul part mentioned in the book summary comes into play? I believe I remember Saito mentioning “my second time transmigrating” in an early chapter, so I thought we were gonna get some expansion on that, but so far this just feels like Saito with an extra power and thats it. The story is good though and I’m loving it, so don’t take this as hate, just wanna know the direction this is going!
