Ya me too he either might have speed reading skills or its instant info into his brain, tbh 30 or 15 seconds would have been a better time limit to not break our immersion. I feel like 5 seconds is too short to get any info that's worthwhile and to go back to before he asks the question.

The Mc didn't really say a date when they bought it he just told us the info of when the store opened up. You never know if they were living there prior to making it a pet shop. he also mentioned growing up here in the first chapter, so I'm thinking they did just that since Mc is living on the upper level of the store. Or am I 7 me if I'm wrong cause it's late where I am writing this comment.
