freedom doesn't mean doing what one wishes, it means to be not compulsive and everything should be an action and not a reaction. Doing exactly what one wishes means one doesn't have control over ones impulses, freedom should be related to all aspects including oneself i.e free of one's desires too.

Author, it has been so long there has been any use of the Oracle paths function, I think starting from the 3rd ordeal it wasn't working. Other than functioning like this artifact named 'ledger' only keeping tabs, instead of actually helping players/evolvers with their paths. Even the 5th ordeal where it was supposed to work, since digestors are not able to interfere in these official ordeals. Ofcourse 'Jake' doesn't even fall into the system of 'Oracle Paths' which totally removes the basic highlighter of this novel, the name of the novel 'The Oracle Paths'. Throughout all these ordeals, it has been thoroughly established that even the basic functions like prediction, shadow guide and coaching do not work properly, after all the info dumps in the beginning of the novel. Basically all that was previously established, stating the 'Oracle' as a supreme entity capable of calculating and working out everything is false, even recently after 4th ordeal, the Oracle Overseer 'Oros' stated as the Oracle being supreme which we as readers don't get to see it.Just a question after all the above statement will this go on ? , Will each and every upcoming ordeal be the same ? one thing or the other jamming the Oracle ?, Even if the Oracle's are working, it will be basically useless with Jake present in it, will this change at any point ? Will we get to see the power of the so called 'Oracle' anytime soon after being such a let down throughout the novel ?
