oh, I beg to differ. I think now I the perfect time to tell her. she will still save him, of course. but only to get some answers. then maybe she will be more motivated to take her mother's company back from him.
what logic is this? the company originally belonged to scarletts maternal family. how is it rightfully someone else's
obviously, rex killed him and his people stupidly blamed your father and wanted revenge. but I also suspect that Rex led them in that direction. it's just a guess though.
and why should she accept that old man? you're the one that wanted to work with him.
this is Rex's revenge.
he is just deluding himself into believing she could ever have romantic feelings for him. for her to make thar kind of promise just means she doesn't like him in that way and never will and even when she reaches 35, if she does marry him, it would only be to keep her promise and she would be settling. especially since she's already calling him brother. she will never develop feeling for him. I know I couldn't see myself falling for a guy who plays around with different women all the time.
of course he'd be unreasonable, asking for something that can't be promised. and I certainly hope, she doesn't just do as he says. who is he to dictate her life to her. especially since it's hard to discern his feeling at this point. can't tell if he has romantic feelings for her or if he's genuinely acting as an older brother.
why would she have to discuss with him about this? they're just friends.
dirty her hands? her rank is even lower than scarlett's, so what does that make her?
her status is definitely much higher than yours. simply because she's not all blinged out in designer labels doesn't mean she's poor.
I doubt them being rich young ladies has anything to do with his rejection. they likely had terrible personalities.
he doesn't need it to begin with, since, he is the owner/operator.
wouldn't he be Edwin great uncle. I can see him calling Joseph grandfather to some degree. but an in law is not a blood relative. I wonder what the author really meant? assuming something got changed in translation.
if you're 71 now and this happened when you're 11, that would be 60 years, sir, not 50.
if that's what you wanted, why didn't you do that, in the first place? if you had doubts about Caroline, you old have met her and gotten to know her yourself. but instead you chose to listen to those rumors and decide she wasn't worthy of marrying into your family and plotted against her, completely disregarding your sister and nephew's feelings.
apparently he doesn't know his family very well. even if she did embarrass herself at the party, Edwin nor Joline will kick her out. also she isn't the type that would turn to anyone for help. she could just barely holding on by a thread, he would be the last person she would accept help from. that is, only if she decides to ask for help. which she wouldn't. she's more than capable of helping herself.
gosh. how could they be so serious while flirting?
she wasn't killed by Caroline. she was tricked by her though and almost fell from the railing herself.
more like, to a new low.
