The idea here is "luck of the draw" and player economy.If you can gain a valuable trade commodity by just playing a bit and having luck, it'd already be a massive draw for many.Something basic like a horse would probably lose all of its value after just a few days, but just to get and stay ahead of the pack, people would likely pay a lot -if they could afford it.Early advantage usually snowballs in MMOs, and the larger the estimated player base, the higher the price to buy in and get ahead. Which in return would draw more players hoping to earn some lucky windfall.
