I have read up to chapter 162 and to be honest im disappointed in the progression of the story. normally books fall under a pace to fast but this one is too slow. his ability to farm lives x5 lives is not showcased in a way to make it special and his classless class he so far has barely used. I dont understand the authors decision making in these two things our character should never not have a class he has copied yet he often does not. unless we get some time skipping or a special moment I cant even seen the character getting out of first sanctuary in the next hundred so chapters nor completing his ascension challenges.

I have read up to 441 and the story quickly takes a nose dive. the genders of characters are constantly being changed, names of prominent characters get botched. But the worse of it all, the story just plummets. I like how the story unfolded up to these last 100 chaps I've read. The novel being modern society with cultivation was fantastic. Li Jing being a patroller was my favorite part of the story because it felt very detective noir. Now though he won't be able to stay in the blue star world and has to ascend to what is described as a lawless lower divine realm. That is not modern. The blue star realm was hardly explored. Various factions could have had very interesting story arcs. Now at best we will get a rushed story where he quickly goes around solves world problems in a rushed couple chapter adventure. extremely disappointed with how the novel has transpired.

I have read to 174 and the biggest problem to me if disregarding other issues. Is that its called the innkeeper but drops all class and grandeur of being this mysterious inn to becoming a random Hilton hotel with lazy rivers. How did it go from an inn to hey look at this 40 story hotel, gaming store, barber shop, trees, lazy river, lake, coliseum, oh here's the inn.

I really do like this novel I was hooked chapter 1 but the pacing feels wicked fast. I looked forward to the school setting in the beginning and it felt like 2 chapters later that was flew past with nothing interesting happening. by chapter 100 there has been no substantial arc of any kind just boatloads of new things happening chapter after chapter. I really hope the pacing can be worked on for later chapters

I just can't bring myself to like this. I liked the description and the idea of it. But there is a limit to things and the mc is just downright dumb. Avoiding the face-slapping trope is fine but making the mc a pushover because the world is easy and he "never saw the bad side" is not good writing. Does not help when I read the author's review saying one arc is really bad and that's why so many chapters are unlocked. It's hard to bring oneself to put so much time into reading when it's going to get worse before it gets better.
