I’m actually more worried about the original FL’s thoughts and intentions. She seems to already focus on ML. I think she has hidden motives regarding him but I’m not sure if it is purely because she likes him or if there is some political agenda invlolved.

I think both characters’ actions make sense. ML left because he knew that FL would never forgive him if he forced her to go with him. I would rather see a more humane ML than an overbearing CEO type ML. FL not trusting ML makes sense because I also wouldn’t trust a person I’ve lived with for half a year to set aside his life long plan just for me. She gave him a chance to prove himself but he blew it when he hesitated about killing her or not right in front of her. Aside from that, I’m looking forward to how ML may pursue FL. I don’t think FL will be able to live peacefully in the village forever.

If Madam Nan’s maiden family was still there, then she probably would have tried to get a divorce. But because she didn’t even have a place to go, she could only stay there.
