Alright guys. It's been a while since I've done anything with this series, and I'm sorry for that. To make up for it, I'm taking back my work from the publisher I've worked through, they were not what I was expecting. Instead, I'll be putting all of my work back on my old page And all 125 chapters I have at this time will be 100% free. I haven't been paid a dime for my work since 2018, so why should you have to pay one, am I right? As for updates, I've been thinking a lot about where to go with this story. For all of you that have read it, I'm sure you know what I'm planning by now. For those who haven't, just get to the chapter "A Brief History Lesson" to get a little back story on my shiny little world, then you'll be able to guess what comes next, at least the gist of it. So, for all of you who have supported me over the years on this profile, thank you, and most of all, I apologize. I've already posted into the paywalled chapters within my other profile and will continue to do so tonight until I drop. I came up with a new cover art which I believe captures Hong Zhao well enough, let me know what you think!
But his lips were dried, which made him look like a homeless person. Take out cool. If you tell a homeless person that he looks cool, you'll probably be looked at weird.
I love this cliché so much I put it in my own book lol. had my mc make fun of it
For the author to take this much of a hiatus, they might need a little time off. This author has been working tirelessly since 2015 from the release of The Blue Phoenix. She has done 3-4 chapters daily since I've known her. Since she has been on such a break, I know it is something she needs. I have never met a more dedicated author, and I probably will never meet one with her skills again. I can't wait for more releases either, but sometimes there isn't much choice but to sit back and wait. I hope you are doing well Tina.
I thought that maybe clearing Will's head might help him think things through better. Right now, he's making an enemy of his father, alienating himself from his friends and family. He's short tempered due to losing Maya, yet he hasn't given up on finding a way to get her back. He's spent a month straight working on the light affinity, and it's showing quite a bit of growth so far. He's not going to master it instantaneously. It's most likely going to drag on his nerves for how slow it'll go, but he's at least making progress. As for space. Tell me, if you all could do it at a time where you are at your lowest, wouldn't you fly as high as you could so that you could look down on your problems like they're so microscopic you can't even focus on them?
Late chapter tonight everyone! Sorry for the delay. Tonight was my second year anniversary to my lovely wife. I made us steak, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, which led me to a food coma quite fast. I thank my wife for waking me up an hour ago so I could write this chapter! Lesson learned, I should write the chapter before eating filling food! Good night everyone!
Alright, so an explanation is due. I believe what I'm trying to portray is a protagonist that is impartial. He had told the group not to wander too far from the perimeter he had set up for the training. Li Wuhan decided to go against the line Hong Zhao had made. Even though he was like a brother to him, his death proved that he couldn't be trusted by Hong Zhao. The reason Hong Zhao dove into the fierce beast to retrieve the head was a lesson to the others, not so much out of love for his friend. Hopefully, the message is clear to the group, as well as the rest of the men and women back in the camp. If action is taken without consent, loss of integrity will not be the only consequence. And with the victim being the friend, brother and son of the protagonists, it'll be clear to all that it could happen to anyone. This is a major tipping point for the team. Either they will grow stronger and follow orders, or many more of them will fall either to the beasts, or to the City Lord.
Good news everyone! The chapters are going to be put back into some semblance of order! Chapters 1-50 will be free, as was the way it was meant to be. Chapters 51-71 and onward will be paywalled. I still like the idea of putting a free chapter here and there, possibly every 6 or 10th chapter. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Sorry for the lapse in updates. Real life sucks and time is somewhat limited lol. I had a pretty physical job and got a herniated disk on my L5 which pinched a nerve in my left leg. Now I'm hobbling like an old man waking up with aches and pains even though I'm only 30 lol. But I lost that job due to boss wanting me to work through the pain which was against the doctor's professional opinion, so I've been a food delivery guy for the past week! As well as taking care of my daughter in the evening while my wife does her law school homework, so I've been rather busy.
Hey guys, I just figured I put this update on a previous chapter. I'm going to try to increase my chapter output. I need to make it to 80 chapters before putting the paywall back up, as per my agreement with all of you. I had a thought about that as well, what if I were to still sneak in some free chapters here and there? I know it's a bit much having to spend so many coins on chapters, so instead maybe I can do one free chapter per every ten? Let me know what you think of that. I don't think I could do every other free, but maybe every sixth chapter? This series is most likely going to run a few thousand chapters, at least if I can get a steady release schedule set up. How do you like the set up of the new village? There will be more attacks happening soon and many surprises. I'm thinking of a large fierce beast attack within the upcoming chapters as well. Maybe one that will require a large party of cultivators to take down. Let me know how you feel about that. I'm always open to suggestions as well guys. If it starts getting dull, let me know and I'll do what I can. I can't stand a stale series, much like you all. So don't let me write one!
This series gave me the inspiration to write. It's author gave me the support to continue. Tina has a brilliant mind when it comes to world building, and endless ideas on how to keep the story going, without repetition. The main character is equal parts lucky and hard working. The support characters are family, not expendable. Huh Yue doesn't forget where he came from, and you can feel just how much he cares about the ones he puts under his wing. A great work of art is nothing without its writer. Tina is amazing. She pumps out ideas without pause. I can't keep up with my own chapter releases, yet she releases multiple chapters a day. She is a hard working and wonderful person and it's quite a pleasure to read her works.
